Manure processing with the Beddingmaster in Den Eelder (NL)
Manure is fermented at den Eelder, the Netherlands.
The methane gas generated by the fermentation is used to heat the process water of their dairy, among other things, and a generator powered by a combustion engine converts this methane into electricity.
The surplus of the energy generated in this way and by means of the solar panels is supplied to the electricity grid. Den Eelder therefore meets their own needs for electricity and heating and is also an energy supplier.
The fermented manure is dried and used, among other things, as bedding material for the cows. A Beddingmaster from Daritech is used to compost the manure.
